Renowned Ugandan media personality and events host MC Kats has officially unveiled his own music band, dubbed “Kats Music Band.” The group is set to make its grand debut today, Tuesday, June 24th, at The Villa in Bukoto.
Kats, who has been a staple in Uganda’s entertainment scene for decades, says the band will cater to a variety of events including weddings, concerts, and outdoor ceremonies.
The band’s sound will primarily focus on soul, RnB, and gospel music, offering a more soothing and emotional experience for audiences.
MC Kats, whose real name is Edwin Katamba, started his career at WBS Television, before making a name for himself at NTV Uganda and eventually NBS TV, where he continues to serve as a presenter and emcee.
Over the years, he has become one of the most respected names in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
With the launch of Kats Music Band, the legendary emcee is now expanding his influence into live music production, signaling a new chapter in his already illustrious career.
