Singer Maro has announced that he will hold his own concert in December 2026, inviting fans to celebrate his musical journey with him.
The singer revealed that The Great Maro Concert will take place on December 4, 2026, at UMA Lugogo.
Maro made the announcement through his social media platforms, reflecting on his journey from growing up in Nsambya to becoming one of Uganda’s recognised musicians.
The singer said the concert will be a celebration of Ugandan music and his personal journey, including the challenges he has faced throughout his career.
“4th Dec! For the Love of Ugandan music. Those who would love to experience with me the prime of a once prodigal son, raised in Nsambya, shaped by a humble background and the fact that a musician was seen as less than nothing.”
Maro also reflected on the people he has lost along the way and revealed that he came close to leaving the world last year.
“I have been to places I have never imagined to be, lost friends on the way to where I am! I almost left the world last year.”
He said these experiences reminded him of the significance of his identity and career as an artist.
“All of this reminded me of one great thing that has ever happened to me, which is being Maro!”
