Drama erupted at Kigwandi sub location in Tetu District, Nyeri County, after a man was allegedly caught red-handed having carnal knowledge of a chicken.
The man who is in his early 40s is alleged to have performed the act with the said chicken until it died.
It is said that the man was caught committing the inhumane act in his house by his younger son.
Speaking to the media in his office on Thursday, Nyeri Central police boss Silas Mwika said that the younger son alerted his elder brother after which they hurriedly reported the matter to the area sub chief.
Mwika said that Kigwandi sub chief who was accompanied by an administration police officer and some members of public frog marched the man to the station on Thursday evening.
“The man is alleged to have had a unnatural offence with a hen and was brought here alongside the dead hen,” said Mwika.
The police commander said that the hen will be taken to a veterinary officer for examination to determine what caused its death.
