For the scores of revelers who turned up for the Nseko Buseko comedy show held at the UMA multipurpose hall on Friday, it was a memorable event that will be etched in their memories for a long time. Madrat and Chiko pulled out all the stops to ensure their fans had an unforgettable evening, from the stage setup to the costumes and surprise acts. It was a fun-packed night!
The comedy duo, dressed in white robes, opened their act with exaggerated acrobatic and martial arts stances all the while making gibberish sounds to lampoon the Chinese language, which drew fits of laughter from the eagerly waiting audience.
However, they soon transitioned into familiar territory—their conversation-like style of comical delivery, which is always peppered with self-deprecating jokes. This delighted the crowd, who rewarded their performance with thunderous clapping and laughter.
On occasion, Madrat and Chiko also turned their attention to the crowd, making them the target of their jokes. One such target was Kampala Central MP Hon. Muhammad Nsereko, whom they teased for giving them small tips. This made for an unpredictable and exciting show.
To add more flavor to the show, there were performances from several other comedians and musicians, including Eddy Kenzo, Geosteady, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, and Alien Skin, among others.
The show climaxed with a comical skit in which Madrat and Chiko collaborated with the Fun Factory comedy troupe to deliver a hilarious enactment about the biblical Judgment Day.
