Ugandan songstress Lydia Jazmine has spoken out about the challenges young female artists face in the music industry, especially the risk of sexual molestation.

Speaking from her own experience, Jazmine revealed that she was almost a victim when she had just started her music journey.
She said she managed to escape such situations because she received the right exposure and guidance early on.
“I was lucky to get the right people around me and be exposed quickly. But not everyone is that lucky,” Jazmine said during a TikTok Live session.
She advised upcoming female artists to be careful and stay focused on their careers.
She also encouraged them to seek guidance from trusted individuals and avoid situations that could lead to abuse.
Jazmine’s message is a strong reminder of the hidden dangers in the industry and the importance of support, awareness, and self-respect for those just starting out.
