Lugaflow MC, St Nellysade is nolonger a resident of Banda ghetto after selling out his maiden album CD, Okupata(the translation).
Speaking on an urban radio interview, the lugaflow army affliated MC revealed how he was shocked by the response from fans who bought exceeding his expectations thus challenging him to print more copies to satisfy the growing demand.
He attributed the sales to social media marketing, album reviews on radios and featuring top rappers in the industry.
The album boasts of 16 tracks, carefully crafted along poetic Luganda rhymes giving fans the taste of lyricism, a rare ingredient in today’s hiphop that seems to revolve around sex, money and pride themes.
Nellysade becomes the second artiste to physically sell album CD after Maurice Kirya’s “Book of Kirya”. Online sites like reverbnation and myziki offer a great platform for artistes to sell their music to a ready online crowd. Who said Ugandans dont buy albums? Congs Nellysade!
