Ugandan music star Joshua Baraka is building anticipation for his upcoming EP, Recess 2, with a teaser of “Commando”, a collaboration featuring Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage.
The teaser has offered fans an early taste of the song, which is the second track on the forthcoming project and brings together two of Africa’s notable music talents.
For Baraka, the collaboration marks another step in his growing musical journey as he continues to expand his reach beyond Uganda and connect with audiences across the continent and beyond.
Tiwa Savage, one of Nigeria’s most recognised Afrobeats voices, adds further star power to the record, making Commando one of the collaborations to watch as fans await the full release.
Although the teaser only offers a glimpse of what the artists have prepared, it has already given fans something to look forward to, with the pairing bringing together Uganda’s rising international music star and a Nigerian hitmaker with an established presence across Africa.
The song forms part of Recess 2, the follow-up project to Baraka’s Recess EP. The new project is expected to further showcase his evolving sound and artistic direction as he continues to build his profile in the African music scene.
Baraka has steadily attracted attention with his blend of contemporary Afropop and R&B influences, earning him a growing audience beyond his home market. His international collaborations have also helped position him among the Ugandan artists pursuing a wider African and global audience.
The partnership with Tiwa Savage adds another dimension to that journey, bringing together artists from two influential African music markets.
With the teaser now out, attention turns to the full release of Commando and what the two artists have created together.
As anticipation builds around Recess 2, fans will be watching closely for further details about the project and the release date of the new single.
For now, the teaser has set the stage for what could become one of the standout moments on Joshua Baraka’s upcoming EP.
