Shacquille Wedderburn, aka Lucas Musiq, was born on December 29th, 1993 in St. Ann, Jamaica
Born with a love for music, he was able to sing and play instruments at a considerably young age. He later realized that he could also rap; and got into music production.
Formerly known as Tzone, he gained experience spanning different genres with production credits on tracks such as Vybz Kartel’s “British Love” and Black Ryno’s “Leggo me nuh”.
He released his debut album in 2016 entitled #NotFromHere. This sold out event displayed his great music, youthful style and current beats. He was awarded Break Out Artiste of Year 2016 at the “Love Gospel Awards” and also nominated in 2018 as Favorite Gospel Minister by the Youth View Awards “YVA.”
Lucas has performed at major events in the Caribbean with many International Artists. At “Prayer Jam Live” in Antigua, Lucas was able to build relationships that have opened doors to greater influence the generation of young people that he represents worldwide. His new singles, “Switch Up The Cycle” (along with official video), “Stay Cool” and “Keep It Real” were released this year with more to come.
Lucas is now ready to declare that “Play Time is Over”; the name of his new album set to be released in 2020. He already switched up the cycle; and is staying cool as he takes the lead.
