The team of bigeye.ug after a thorough research has learnt that concerts and shows have low attendances of late. This comes after the tragedy at the Westgate mall that happened to our sister nation Kenya a few weeks back.
This was witnessed at Iryn’s “Tebiba Bingi” concert that happened last Friday on the 4th of October at hotel Africana. At the show only the VIP section was fully occupied while the rest of the auditorium was full of empty seats, however much the show had lined fine talents of upcoming artiste Khalifa Aganaga, talented Dr. Hilderman, singer Liane and sensational diva and singer Rema.
Prior to her show Uganda Police had issued a warning informing the public to be on the lookout for a German terror suspect named Ahmed Khaled Mueller who they believed had sneaked into the country. Perhaps this could have scared some of her prospective attendants.
It was not any different for the American legend, R & B singer, Keith Sweat who was at Kampala Serena Hotel performing at the Nile Gold Jazz Safari. And other minor shows that have been going on lately.
Mean while we can’t rely on these statistics because partly one could think that because there are a number of shows that take place at the same within the same vicinity, it could be the reason why shows and concerts are not registering big numbers.
This should also serve as a warning to the singers who are yet to hold concerts.
