Lilian Mbabazi, one of the iconic voices behind the girl group Blu*3, recently shared what she considers the most unforgettable moment from the early days of their music journey.

Speaking with nostalgia and pride, Lilian recalled Blu*3’s performance at the opening ceremony of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals held in Ghana in the early 2000s.
For her, the experience remains vivid and impactful, even years later.
“I think one of the best times I remember was us performing at the opening ceremony of AFCON finals in Ghana. We were on that stage with 2 Face. That time he was doing his hit song ‘African Queen’. So Blu*3 was one of the opening acts, and it was wild. That is when I met all those footballers. It was so nice,” she shared.
The performance not only placed Blu*3 on a continental stage but also marked a defining moment in their career.
Sharing the stage with Nigerian superstar 2 Face Idibia, who was then riding high on the success of his timeless hit “African Queen,” opened new opportunities for them.
