Ugandan singer Lilian Mbabazi has opened up about how she met the late hubby, Mowzey Radio during their time at Makerere University.
Speaking in a recent interview, Lilian revealed that the two met while studying Psychology at the university.
At the time, Lilian had already started singing, while Mowzey Radio was not yet known in the music industry.
Their friendship started in the classroom and later grew stronger as they spent more time together.
Lilian also shared that during that period, she became close friends with fellow singer Jackie Chandiru.
She said it was through Jackie’s habit of going out to nightclubs that she got more chances to know Radio better.
“It was through Jackie Chandiru’s love for night outings that I began to spend more time with Radio. That’s when I started to understand his interests more deeply,” Lilian said.
This connection later turned into a romantic relationship between Lilian and Mowzey Radio, which led to them having children together.
Their bond, both personal and musical, was admired by many Ugandan music lovers until Radio’s untimely passing.
Mowzey Radio, who was one half of the Goodlyfe music duo alongside Weasel, remains one of Uganda’s most celebrated musicians.
