During a recent performance at the Tusker Malt Conver Sessions, singer Lilian Mbabazi opened up about the ongoing uncertainties and doubts surrounding the reported death of her late husband, Mowzey Radio.
Expressing the profound impact of losing the father of her children, Lilian emotionally shared her struggles as a single parent, lamenting the absence of Mowzey Radio in witnessing their two children’s growth.
In a vulnerable moment, she articulated her reluctance to discuss the details of his passing, stating, “His death, I don’t want to even talk about it because I believe he didn’t die that way. I don’t believe he died on that day the news broke.”
Lilian Mbabazi went on to reveal her discoveries after Mowzey Radio’s demise, expressing a sense of betrayal. She discovered that those whom she thought were close friends to him were not genuine, leaving her with a feeling that the people who truly loved him were distant.
“The worst part after his death, I found out that Moses didn’t have real friends, those close to him weren’t. I feel those who loved him most were ones far from him,’’ Lilian Mbabazi added.
The Late Mowzey Radio, a half of the popular African music duo Radio & Weasel passed on February 1, 2018, at Case Hospital – Kampala where he had been admitted for almost two weeks after succumbing to serious head-injuries, sustained during a bar brawl in Entebbe.
