Newly promoted side Kirinya Jinja SS will be seeking their maiden victory on Tuesday when they host Bul Football Club in a Jinja derby in the Azam Uganda Premier league on match day seven.
It’s been a tough season start for Jinja based clubs like JMC Hippos, Sadolin Paints and Kirinya as they are all yet to register a single victory in the league. Kirinya has, however, managed four draws in their six opening league fixture, losing twice and have only conceded twice this season, making them the second best defending team after Villa.
The Alex Isabirye-coached side have rather been very shy in front of goal and remain the only team yet to score a goal this season. Their last game was 1-0 loss to The Saints on Saturday at Bombo Military grounds.
On the other hand, Bul FC are yet to find their momentum under the charges of coach Frank ‘Video’ Anyau. They have managed only one victory, two draws and three losses in their six opening matches. Bul’s last game was a 3-1 loss to the defending champions KCCA FC leaving them just two spots above the relegation zone with five points while Kirinya top the bottom three of the table with 4 points.
