King Saha has advised fellow musician Joshua Baraka to prioritise the Ugandan music market instead of pursuing international ambitions, which he believes are uncertain and require substantial investment.

Speaking during a TikTok Live, Saha urged people around Baraka to be honest with him about the realities of chasing international success, rather than encouraging him without considering the challenges involved.

“When I see him, I’ll tell him that what he’s trying to chase is a long game. All the best, but as I see it, it’s not worth it,” Saha said.

The singer further explained that breaking into the international market requires significant financial resources and comes with no guarantee of success, arguing that Baraka would be better off concentrating on entertaining Ugandans.

“First of all, it requires a huge budget, and secondly, you can’t know how far you’re going,” he added.

Saha’s remarks come as Joshua Baraka continues to pursue ambitions beyond Uganda, with the singer increasingly positioning himself for a wider audience.

However, Saha believes that concentrating on the local audience could be a more practical approach, given the financial demands and uncertainties associated with international expansion.
