Ugandan league champions KCCA FC have promised to make their fans happy on Saturday when they face Nkana Red Devils from Zambia in the second leg of their CAF Champions League first round tie.
“We failed to win against Sudan’s El Merreikh in the preliminary round. But we are now more than ready to win the game at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, to make our loyal fans happy,” coach George Nsimbe told MTNFootball.com this morning after training.
Although the two teams drew 2-2 in the first leg last weekend in Kitwe, Nsimbe thinks the war is not won yet and they will need to look for an early goal.
“I have prepared the boys well and they are going all out for a win on Saturday,” added the former Cranes midfielder.
In form Tony Odur and Brian Majwega, who scored in the first leg, are expected to lead KCCA FC’s attack as the coach has said he will only make two changes to the team that started in Zambia.
The Nkana coach Masauso Mwale said he is happy they now know KCCA’s strong and weak points.
“We are very prepared and our spirits are very high because we also have depth in our team and we shall rise to the occasion,” added the coach after training at the Lugogo ground.
Star player Ronald Kampamba, Shadreck Musonda and Simon Bwalya are expected to lead the visitors in search of goals.
While KCCA FC can afford a 1-1 draw to qualify for the next stage, Nkana Red Devils must be at their best to score as many goals or even win the game to move into the next round of the lucrative competition.
