Uganda Premier League fixture between defending champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) and last season’s runners up Sports Club Victoria University (SC VU) has been called off.

The development follows the resumption of preparations by KCCA for the return leg of the CAF champions’ league clash against Cosmos De Bafia. The Yellow boys will be setting off on Wednesday to Yaoundé ahead of the clash.

The tie between the table leaders KCCA (on 36 points from 17 matches) and Victoria University who are still struggling for form had been scheduled for Tuesday 24th at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole where Victoria University host all their home games.

“The fixture was slated for Tuesday February 24th at Mandela National stadium, Namboole but it has been put off on request from KCCA officials who are preparing for the visit to Cameroon to face Cosmos DeBafia,” reads a confirmatory statement on the club’s official website.
