The kingdom of Buganda has decided to involve itself in the promotion and steering of young talent especially in the entertainment industry. They are taking this on through a talent search spearheaded by Buganda Radio Station CBS FM.
The auditions have already commenced and they are open to all people in the kingdom. The procedure is that one needs to record his/her voice singing to their favorite tunes and then deliver the recording to CBS radio premises in Bulange – Mengo. Every recording received will be registered against the name of the owner from which they will be judged.
The jury has already been appointed and it includes, singer/song writer Kazibwe Travis alias Dr. Tee and music critic Joseph Batte among others.
The participants will be judged and finally a list of 10 people will be selected and those will be the final winners. They will then perform before the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Mwenda Mutebi II at a date that will later be communicated. They will also be rewarded by the Kabaka himself with goodies which include shopping vouchers and cash prizes and will be the crew to start up the Buganda Band and will be handed a three year contract.
