In a recent interview with satisfashionug.com, musician Juliana Kanyomozi opened up about the loss of her one and only son, Keron Kabugo that occurred on 20th July last year. Keron, who passed on after an acute asthma attack at a Nairobi hospital, has been on his mother’s mind since.
“There are things that happen to you and you cannot find the perfect vocabulary to explain them. It’s that pain that leaves you helpless and no one else but God can help,” Juliana started.
“I knew Keron very well. He would tell when something was bothering me and always asked me to cheer up. He always wanted me to be happy. So I”ll never let him down. I know he’s with me every day cheering mummy on. I’ve learnt to leave the hard situations to God. I don’t want to depress my fans. I want them to be happy. And that’s exactly what Keron would have wanted me to do,” she added.
Juliana who has not performed at any event since the fateful day, said that the healing process is long but she is managing it. “It is all part of the healing process. I’m taking baby steps. I’m not yet there emotionally. When you’ve gone through something like this, you have to find the strength first. My fans shouldn’t worry. I’ll surely be back on my feet God willing,” she told SatisfashionUg.
Kanyomozi, who did a song called Something of my life, with the Ganda boys shortly after the tragedy said that she has always been strong although this was a big blow. She also thanked family and friends for supporting her all through.
