Rema is believed to be the Newbie that will carry on the musical flag in the female wing when Juliana Kanyomozi throws in the towel. However, this has not stopped Juliana from setting her concert on the same date as that of Rema.
Whereas Rema will be at Obbligato, Juliana will be holding her concert at Serena Hotel. Analysts believe that this won’t affect any of the two artistes since the target audience for these two concerts is different. “Whereas Rema is targeting the Mary and Janes of Kampala, Juliana is targeting the big monies and the corporate wings going by her venue of choice,” says James Lubulwa, a blogger.
It is believed that a Serena concert is meant for the upscale market while an Obbligato concert is a cut-across. Juliana will be holding a live concert which could go ahead to challenge the one Maurice Kirya held months back at the same venue.
