Gospel singer Judith Babirye’s concert at Serena last week was not the best attended of recent concerts and to make matters worse, she refused to give in to constant pleas from the audience to sing their favorite song.
Yes, the “Beera Nange” singer refused to do her “Maria” song at her Webale concert despite requests from the crowd for her to sing it. In the song, she basically talks about violent marriages and asks women to be strong and fight on for the good of their children. The singer wrote the song when she was at the pinnacle of her marriage miseries.
She even went ahead to break up with the hubby after the song and we are sure she couldn’t do the song since she is very emotional about the entire break up. She could have literary wept down on stage. Others believe that she contradicted the message in the song in her real life and felt ashamed to sing the song.
Judith sang some of her songs like Omusaayi Gwa Yesu, Number one, Omusaayi Gwa Yesu, Alibawo, Favour, Wanjagala Embaga and Omuliro.
