Joseph Masembe of the ‘My Kid is a superstar’ children’s events has taken one of the brand’s arms to Nairobi, Kenya. Kenyan Kids aged 12 and below will audition in the super star talent search competition at KICC this Saturday.
The fun filled event was pioneered in Uganda where it has been hailed for its ability to not only nurture kids’ talents but giving a rare opportunity for families to bond. According to Masembe Joseph the founder of the program, most families in Africa rarely grant their kids an early opportunity to discover and nurture their talents.
“It’s rare to see a parent appreciating and supporting a kid’s talent like maybe singing. In most cases if a kid is singing or humming in the living room, most parents scorn at them or even force to go sing from outside!” Joseph told kenyakidz.com.
It is the strong desire that Masembe haboured to change this trend of events that motivated him to launch the initiative.
