Jose Chameleone has announced plans to return to the United States next month for further medical treatment and assessment.

The singer made the revelation shortly after arriving back in Uganda, following a four-month stay abroad where he had been undergoing specialized care.

Chameleone, who was flown to the U.S. in December last year for advanced management of his condition, expressed gratitude for the progress made so far in his recovery.

However, he acknowledged that he is not yet fully healed.

“I am not well yet… I am not fully recovered,” he told reporters. “I am back because I was homesick and needed to be here, but I am going back to the US around May 2nd for review.”
