Sad news coming in is that Leone Island boss, Dr. Jose Chameleone, is in debt after he was conned of 30 billion shillings.

Reports indicate that the musician who got involved in a gold deal last year ended up in tears after fake gold was sold to him and his money taken.

It all started with the death of Karamaji according to reports, Chameleone used a lot of money to prove his innocence and make sure that he was not imprisoned yet he had not committed any crime. From this, he landed a deal with the government to help get Kony rebels out of the bush.

The Wale Wale singer was required to compose and record a song called “Come Home” which he did. Chameleone was also obligated to travel to the jungles of the Central African Republic in order for him to record a video and get inspiration for the song.

It is on one of these trips to the Central African Republic that he met the fake gold dealers who conned him of a lot of money. They showed him gold samples asked him to play the middle man and get buyers in Kampala for a good amount of commission. The singer came back to Kampala, collected money, took it to the sellers in CAR and fake gold was given to him.

“The problem is that he had got most of this money from business friends in Kampala. He was conned and his money taken and no gold was given to him. He ended up getting hefty sums from a local bank to clear his debt only to fall into more debt. He has lost billions,” said a source.

The singer’s indebtedness has led to loss of a lot of his property including houses, a beach and many others.

We will keep you posted on how this goes.
