Celebrated Jazz musician and saxophonist Isaiah Katumwa is set to celebrate 20 years in the music industry. Isaiah, whose major music influence is Kenny G, will hold a mega concert to celebrate Jazz Music on 8th May at Kampala Serena hotel.
The show will be graced by South African international Jazz icon Hugh Masekela as the guest performer.
Isaiah got involved in music at a tender age of 10 when he joined his school brass band. He eventually went on to do a music dance and drama course at university.
Isaiah released his first music album in 2001 and has since produced over six albums. However, he did not get a breakthrough until his highly acclaimed album dubbed Sinza that was released in 2006. The album also saw him featured on the BBC.
Isaiah has also shared stage with global artistes like Manu Dubangu, Jonathan Butler, Miriam Makeba, Chaka Chaka, Oliver Mtukudzi, Phil Driscoll, Alvin Slaughter, Manu Dibango(an African jazz pioneer), among others.
