Musician Kapa Cat has revealed that she does not allow media pressure to dictate how she runs her music career, insisting that her journey in the industry is driven by her personal ambitions rather than other people’s expectations.
“I brought myself into the music industry, so I’ll decide my limits,” she said, explaining that she has the freedom to decide what works for her, regardless of how profitable an opportunity might be.
She noted that whenever she feels certain demands are becoming too much for her, she is willing to walk away, even if the opportunity could earn her money. According to the singer, she is only willing to adjust to what she personally wants rather than conforming to expectations from the media and the public.
Kapa Cat also expressed concern about the pressure social media has placed on the current generation of musicians, arguing that many artists are putting in too much work while receiving little money and respect in return.
“They do too much and earn so little. I can’t dance myself silly on TikTok,” she said.
The singer explained that instead of spending excessive time creating content to satisfy social media demands, she chooses to focus on other business opportunities and side hustles that she believes generate more income for her.
She added that she has learned to focus on getting tangible benefits from the music business rather than simply making noise about it.
