BigEyeUg‘s Stuart G-khast recently caught up with Bella for an interview. In the interview, Bella talked about a number of things and now we bring you the excerpts below.
Bella has been a household name for more than a decade now, how have you managed to keep relevant in the music industry?
First, its GOD who has given me the power and courage for these years and then my fans who keep on supporting me each and every time.
Bella the dancehall queen, do you still go by that name or you think there is a new dancehall queen?
Yap, that has been my signature name but lately me and my management sat and decided to re-brand to Queen Bella but that doesn’t mean that am no longer the dance hall queen.
Okay, still talking about dancehall, who is that one Uganda artiste you feel is really doing it right?
Lately every artist is working very hard, I must say but Ziza Bafana is doing it right for me although other artists are also not doing bad.
A few years back you had an introduction ceremony, which was very unique by the way. Are you still dating or you are now married to him?
All I can say is that I am happy with my darling. hahaha.
Let’s talk music, what do you have for your fans this year?
Ummm… This year, I have lots of works for my fans. Surely, this year am back into the game because I already have an audio out titled Tolinta. This is my year.
Should we expect any mega concert(s)?
Not really, but I am hoping to organize a listening party for my fans and supporters. Nonetheless, I am planning a concert may be next year because I need to first promote my new songs so that people can come when I organize a concert.
Any last words?
My last words go out to my fans and all the lovers of Ugandan music that keep supporting my music; I have a lot in stock for you and also please follow me on my social media platforms – Twitter: @queenbella256, facebook: bellaqueendancehall.
