Airtel Uganda is, once again, set to thrill music fans in Uganda with a Jazz Concert “Jazz It with Airtel” to be headlined by Uganda’s greatest Isaiah Katumwa alongside Africa’s jazz Maestro Hugh Masekela. The concert which will be held at the Kampala Serena Hotel – Victoria Hall, will be held on 8th May 2015.

The Jazz concert, that will also mark 20 years in the industry for Isaiah Katumwa, is going to be in partnership with the soon-to-be-launched Jazz FM and is the first of the annual concerts to be held every year featuring a jazz legend from across the world.

This will not be the first time that the telecom giant is thrilling music fans in Uganda with an international artist. Just earlier this year on Women’s Day, Airtel Uganda held an All Women’s Concert that featured Nigerian music diva Tiwa Savage singing alongside a lineup of top female Ugandan artists. In 2014, the company also hosted and sponsored the “Ugandan Women of Substance” 2014 Awards ceremony that featured Jamaican artist Nyanda as the main act.

According to Airtel Uganda Brand Assets and Properties Manager, Noella Byuma, “Airtel Uganda realizes that the majority of Ugandans are passionate about music. By being part of this concert, we are continuingto engage, support and spread Happiness to all of our subscribers through a medium that is different from our various products and services.”

“Airtel Uganda congratulates Jazz legend Isaiah Katumwa on marking 20 successful years in this industry,” she added

Tickets will be sold at 150,000/- UGX each. Tables sitting 9 people each will be going for 3,000,000/- UGX and those interested can call 0702 00 52 52 and 075 2 00 52 52 for reservations and deliveries. Tickets will be sold at selected Airtel Uganda and partner outlets.
