At the premiere of her latest video, supernatural girl video on Wednesday at Serena, the diva revealed how she got married to an American at 21.
“I called it quits after 5 years in marriage”, she confessed.
Living with a temperamental man engulfed the young Angella with fear for her life.
“He did not batter me… he kept breaking things when angry”, she said.
Against her father’s will, she returned home, joined the music industry and signed divorce papers, three years later she rejected giving the hubby a second chance.
It is from this experience that she drew the inspiration for latest single, supernatural girl.
It is common practise for singers to turn their private life into an art form. That’s the value of being a voice to people.
