NBS TV’s star political journalist, Joseph Sabiiti over the weekend bade farewell to his colleagues at Next Media Services shortly after hosting his last “Big Talk” edition on NXT Radio.
The charismatic reporter, whose career highlight will arguably be his coverage of the alleged stone-shooting of President Museveni’s convoy by Bobi Wine and “People Power” loyalists, sent a short and precise good-bye message to all Next Media Services staff through their WhatsApp platform.
“Good afternoon, I will be taking a break from active Journalism for a while,” read Sabiiti’s WhatsApp message to fellow staff. “Thank you for the amazing four years at Media Plaza, it has been every inch worth it and Next Media will always remain home,” he added.
Sabiiti will now assume the position of Communications Officer at Action Aid Uganda.
Before NBS TV, Sabiiti worked with the now-defunct WBS TV.
Many notable figures and colleagues have since come out on Twitter to wish Sabiiti the best for the future;
Hon. Frank Tumwebaze: Congratulations @sabitijoseph on your new Job. Advancement in career is a dream a very progressive mind should work and aspire for. All the best!

It awaits to be seen how Next Media Services will cover the gap left behind by clearly one of their best creations yet.
