Hellofood Uganda is hosting the inaugural Kampala Restaurant Awards 2015 (KRA) with Done Deal and MTN as its organizing partners with Shell Gas, Pepsi, SN Brussels Airlines and Robertson Winery co-sponsoring the award ceremony to take place at Serena Hotel Ball room on the 25th November, 2015. The gates will open at 7.00PM, with the dress Code being Black Tie Event.
Ron Kawamara, Managing Director of Hellofood Uganda, says: “Hellofood has already revolutionized the food culture in Kampala, by offering convenience and variety at a low cost. We are happy to be part of these awards, which will further improve and set the benchmark for culinary excellence in Kampala. Together with our partners and sponsors, we aim to make this an annual high class event, and an evening of recognition, celebration and networking and we can only do this throw a joint effort of having the public vote to ensure that the deserving nominees get awards and the recognition that they deserve.”
The KRA’s have categorized the nominees into several categories which makes it easier for a customer to vote basing on a preset criteria such as Restaurant of the Year, Best Customer Service, Best Value for Money, Best Indian Cuisine, Best Ugandan Cuisine, Best Asian Cuisine, Best Pizzeria, Best Food-On-The-Go, Best Café/Deli, Best Bar Food, Best Fine Dining, Best of Africa, Best Newcomer, Best Beer, and Best Winery.
Voting has been ongoing since the Press launch of the awards on the 20th of October, 2015 and will close on 24th November, 2015 a day before the awards ceremony.
The public can vote online at www.kampalarestaurantawards.ug. Each voter will be able to cast one vote a day per category. Voting can be done easily on the Kampala Restaurant Awards website. The voting steps are as follows;-
1) Login on the KRA site with Facebook, Twitter or Google+
2) Select the Nominees’ tab,
3) Select a category
4) Choose the Nominee you know deserves the award and then click ‘Vote’
5) To vote again make sure you login into the website first.
