Halima Namakula has come forward to dismiss allegations linking her to the mysterious illness and prolonged suffering of upcoming artist Omukunja Atasera.

The controversy arose after Omukunja took to social media to address circulating rumors that he had passed away.
In a video posted on his page, the young artist disclosed that he has been battling a strange illness for several months.
While he refrained from seeking financial support, Omukunja claimed that his deteriorating health might be linked to certain interactions he had while asking for favors, specifically pointing fingers at Halima Namakula. He publicly asked for her forgiveness, suggesting she might be behind his suffering.
However, in yesterday’s interview during the UNMF jam session, Halima Namakula, often referred to as Mama Halima, categorically denied the allegations, labeling them as baseless and unfounded.
She clarified that she has only encountered Omukunja once in her life and has no involvement in his health issues. In fact, she advised the young singer to seek medical attention, specifically suggesting he get checked for Mpox before his condition worsens.
“People who have known me since I started out in music know what is right and what is not,” Halima stated. “They will talk and eventually get tired. For all the years I have been in the game, how could I possibly choose a young boy to mess with? He is the one playing with me. Just let him go on because I know someone is behind all this, but they will run out of money and fall out. I don’t even know that boy.”
Halima went on to express her confidence in the strong reputation she has built over the years. “I have built my brand, and people know what I’m capable of. If I have 900 people out of 1,000 believing in me, I do not care about the opinions of the rest. The problem I have with him is that the allegations are heavy, but he still won’t get anything from me because I do not handle the association’s money.”
