With the recent spate of celebrity social media account hacks, everyone is on high alert to make sure they are not victim to that.
Its however unfortunate for those that have already suffered the attack, among them popular make-up artist, Monalisa Umutoni aka Mona Faces. The latest update is that the hacker is now selling the account with everything intact.
Mona shared screenshots of the now, hacked parody account and asked followers to be vigilant so they don’t get duped.
“Hey guys so this is what’s happening. The hacker has retained my account and changed the username and is now trying to sale the followers. They have changed the username to @t80k and they have kept everything as is, all my images..everything so it appears as though it’s still my page. Please go block that person. They steal accounts from people with an organic following and try to sale them off. I have reported this to @instagram..and am waiting for a response.”
After this post, a group of her followers have since unfollowed the hacked account.
