Prominent Ugandan events promoter Abtex has clarified that Eddy Kenzo had no role in attempting to stop King Saha’s recent concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Instead, he revealed that it was Kenzo’s intervention, along with the support of the events promoters’ president, that helped secure approval for the event.
This statement dismisses earlier accusations by King Saha, who had blamed Kenzo, the president of the Uganda National Musicians’ Federation, for trying to block his show.
King Saha’s concert, which turned out to be a sold-out event, was initially at risk of cancellation due to missing security clearances.
However, with the influence of key industry leaders, including Kenzo, the authorities allowed the show to proceed.
Abtex’s clarification puts an end to the controversy, affirming that Kenzo played a role in ensuring the concert’s success rather than hindering it.
