Former Capital FM presenter Gaetano Jjuko Kaggwa is on his way back to the Kisementi based station starting June this year.
Gaetano who left the radio station a few years ago will be returning to take Alex Ndawula’s job. Alex has for a long time been rumoured to be facing the exit anytime soon. Emails recently leaked in the media showing how top bosses were working out a plan to oust Alex who has been the longest serving presenter at the station. He has been at Capital since 1994.
Gaetano comes in to work with Lucky on the overdrive show. Lucky had been working with Salvador and Alex until Alex was pushed to the last hour of the show and Salvador resigned to pursue his comedy career. Gaetano who was given an appointment letter on May 2nd comes in on June 1st to start serious work in a bid to revive the show’s ratings. The former Big Brother housemate and proprietor of Zone 7 bar has been working as the head of Television at Radio Africa in Kenya.
Alex Ndawula maintains that he is not about to leave Capital fm and that he will not be retiring anytime soon. “Radio is not like soccer, you don’t just retire,” said the 51 year old radio presenter recently.
Gaetano Jjuko Kagwa is a Ugandan media personality. He rose to fame when he represented Uganda in the first edition of Big Brother Africa in 2003. He has also hosted the television show Studio 53 on Mnet. Between the years 2004 to 2008.
