Having served FUFA for the last 9 years, Alex Luganda, the Chairman of the FUFA Legal Committee has resigned just a week after Mariam Kaliga’s dismissal from the FUFA Executive Committee.
It should be remembered that Mariam Kaliga Nakulima was dismissed from FUFA last week on Friday (18th September) barely a day after her revelations to a local newspaper that the Federation President, Eng. Moses Magogo had been reported to the IGG’s office and would soon be under investigation on matters of accountability and transparency.
Effective 30th September, 2015, Alex Luganda will be no more at the FUFA house according to reports coming in.
Apparently the legal expert has too much on his plate than he consume at the moment with roles at the Uganda Red Cross and the Institution of Kyabazinga in Busoga Kingdom that leave him incapacitated to serve the federation effectively.
“It is with great honor and pleasure that I write appreciating the trust and confidence you and the Executive has had in me for the services rendered as Chairman FUFA Legal Committee,” reads a quote on the federation’s website from a letter Luganda wrote to Magogo. “It’s upon that back ground that I tender in my resignation and thank you for the opportunity availed to me to make my contribution.”
