Last year, Penelope Nankunda competed in the Miss Uganda beauty pageant where she managed to come among the top 10 contestants.
The pageant seems to have helped her get out of her shell. According to her close friend, Penelope was a very shy girl before she made that bold decision to compete in the most prestigious beauty contest in Uganda.
Penelope has since used her new found confidence to finally launch her music career. She made her first public performance at recently concluded 2015 Miss Uganda grand finale where Zahara Nakiyaga was crowned the new beauty queen.
“It was amazing performing my song ‘Stay (Tondeka)’ during Miss Uganda 215 grand finale. The feed back was superb,” said Penelope.
