Kampala’s fun-lovers proved that a little rain couldn’t dampen their spirits, as they turned up for the fifth edition of Don Julio-sponsored Daycation Brunch series at Silo 15 with vigor.
Despite the Sunday morning downpour, foodies and music lovers donned their Sunday brunch best, and made their way to Silo 15, in Bugolobi, ready for a feast of good vibes, great food, and soothing music.
As the skies cleared, the Kampala Jazz Orchestra took to the stage, delivering a performance that swept the audience into a wave of nostalgia and euphoria. They performed some amazing classics like the soulful Careless Whisper- by George Michael, the lively Strength of a woman- by Shaggy, and even a jazzy twist on Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
The band took the crowd on a musical journey that struck just the right chords, with guests humming and swaying along, setting a relaxed yet vibrant tone for the day.
Don Julio also, once again, made a statement as they went all out to turn around the appearance of Silo 15, with their signature Mexican look, complete with a beautiful floral touch.
When it came to drink serves, an array of expertly crafted cocktails was on the menu for guests to sip in delight. From the classic Margarita to the citrusy Paloma and a few surprises in between, the drinks were as refined as they were refreshing.
“The fifth edition of the Daycation Brunch has truly been one of the most incredible so far,” said Simon Lapyem, the Innovations Manager at UBL. “It’s amazing that not even the rain could hold back the Daycation patrons from turning up to embrace the moment. We’re excited to continue this journey with our consumers, and I can reliably promise that there’s much more to come!”
The brunch itself was a feast to remember, featuring an assortment of dishes that catered to every palate. Whether it was the hearty breakfast platters, savoury meats, or decadent desserts, there was something for everyone.
As plates were passed and glasses clinked, the atmosphere was pure joy, and it was indeed clear that brunches have become such a beloved tradition on Kampala’s social scene.
The Daycation Brunch series has firmly cemented itself as the ultimate Sunday escape for Kampala’s foodies and fun-lovers, proving once again why it’s such a hit.
Held on the last Sunday of every month, the Silo 15 Daycation is a celebration of good food, great music, and even better company.
As the year winds down, all eyes are on the December edition. If this month’s event was anything to go by, then the final brunch of the year is something to look forward to!
