Musicians, Fik Fameica and Cindy Sanyu thrilled participants in the inaugural Kampala Night Run that happened on Saturday.
The fun run attracted hordes of runners who had the Kololo suburb glowing, thanks to the fancy ‘glow in the dark’ accessories, as they took on the 2km route. Starting off at Torino bar, the runners headed for upper Kololo terrace through Hesketh Bell road and then joined Lugogo Bypass before returning to Torino bar. With security personnel heavily deployed along the route to ensure security, the run gave participants the unique opportunity to break a sweat while simultaneously having fun.
After conquering the route, attention was turned to the stage which had been set up at Torino bar, which doubled as the finishing point, where the evening turned into a glow-up party. To keep the fun going, there was performances from different musicians interluded with dj sets.

It is then that Cindy proved that indeed she runs this city as she got revelers dancing and ululating as she performed some of her songs which included “Ndi Mukodo”, “Run this City”, and “Temple” among others. Her performance was followed by Fik Fameica who was welcomed with wild cheers and he went on to thrill the crowd with some of his hit songs like “Kutama”, “Byenyenya”, and “Skonto” among others. There was also performances from Beenie Gunter and Toniks.
In between the performances, the were dj sets from DJ Simples, DJ Ciza, DJ Xzyl and Mary Jo who kept the party going till midnight.
