News reaching us indicates that the Government through the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity is planning to purchase a pornography detecting machine. Its believed that this machine will have a software with the capability to detect whoever is visiting pornography sites and block them.
This comes at a time when Ethics minister Fr. Simon Lokodo has been at the forefront of trying to restore sanity among people whom he says had lost moral values as seen through their ways of dressing and too much exposure of nudity.
It should be noted that Lokodo spearheaded the anti-pornography bill which seems to have lost support among many and now is opting for an alternative.
This highly anticipated machine is said to be used by countries like China, Japan, UAE among others and cases related to such have greatly reduced in these countries.
This machinery is expected to cost about Ugx 42 billion from the time of procurement to installation.
