Vipers’ midfielder Farouk Miya will wear the armband to lead the Uganda Kobs as captain tomorrow when they take on Mozambique in the first leg of the All Africa games qualifier in Maputo. The Kobs have already landed in Maputo ahead of the weekend clash.
The youngster made his debut on the national team in July, 2014 against Mauritania during the preliminary stages of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers and is highly expected to play alongside team Kizito Keziron to command the midfield.
Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic who also doubles as the Kobs tutor will be expected to rely on Police striker Umar Kasumba to lead the attack and Vipers’ Ismail Watenga to stand in goal ahead of Bright Stars’ Mathias Kigonya.
