Fake Hymens For Sale: How Ugandan Women are Buying Virginity

It’s easier to find a gay in Uganda than to find a Ugandan Virgin. After losing their virginity, women in Uganda, especially Kampala have discovered a way of having it back. It’s now said, that Virginity in Uganda is like a taxi, you lose one, another one is on the way.

For the first time, female university students can now have their cake and eat it.

So where are these fake hymens sold and who buys them?

Our female reporter set out on a journey to discover the hidden trade of the fake hymens. This is already a booming business in Kampala and word of mouth is going around among feminine circles.

From the Middle East and Asia comes succour. One of the shops that sells the fake hymens is run by a Chinese lady on Majestic plaza. Originally produced by Asian sex toy company Gigimodo, an interesting toy sometimes called a ‘designer hymen’ is sold at $30 (Shs78000) per piece on its website and shipped in by retailers who then sell for between Shs150,000-250,000 depending on one’s bargaining prowess.

Plastic and shaped like a sac, it is a flat object that expands to fit when placed inside the vagina, leaking an optimal quantity of a blood-like liquid, after penile pressure, thus simulating the act deflowering. It is meant to be inserted about 15 minutes before sexual intercourse, with hands – insert joke here – washed clean.

It comes with a manual and can only be used once. There are – thank God for small mercies – reportedly no side effects.

The Testimonials:

One of the Makerere University fresh graduates who used it narrates her experience; “I come from a very staunch Born-again family and my parents have always believed I am a virgin. That’s what I told my husband while we were still dating. But when you have gone through MUK, it’s rare to have your virginity intact, mine was beyond secondary virginity, it was somewhere in post-graduate virginity since I have even had orgies and threesomes. So a day to my wedding night, I went and bought myself this fake hymen and for my honeymoon, I had it inserted and my husband was impressed after the act when he saw the blood-stained sheets. God had worked wonders for me. I have recommended the same to my other female friends.”

Lucy Mbabazi (not real names) a student at MUBS says that she’s used the fake hymen to detooth men of their money. “Of course, I keep telling them I am a virgin and that they must pay for my virginity. I invest around 100K since I am a regular customer, and I get out around 300K since most men can’t help but taste the Virgin that I am.”

BigEye.ug will soon reveal photos of the traders behind this business. But till next time, our female reporter will narrate her experience of inserting this fake hymen.
