In an exclusive update, BigEye.ug can now confirm that former NTV presenter Robin Kisti’s recent arrest was not primarily due to drug possession, as some rumors have suggested, but was instead the result of a violent dispute with her neighbour over an unpaid clothing debt.

A source close to the matter revealed new details, clearing up earlier assumptions that Kisti was arrested for drugs. According to the insider, the trouble began when Kisti acquired women’s clothes worth Shs 300,000 from her neighbor, who had imported them from Dubai.

However, when the neighbor later asked for payment, Kisti reportedly became defensive, claiming her celebrity status made her immune from such demands.

“Robin felt she shouldn’t be pushed for money,” the source explained. “She and her boyfriend allegedly jumped the gate, attacked the neighbor, and beat her so badly she developed a blood clot and had to be hospitalized.”

The victim spent her own money on treatment and was eventually discharged, but the battle didn’t end there. Legal tensions between the two women stretched on for over a month. Kisti reportedly offered to pay Shs 7 million in compensation but only paid Shs 300,000 for bail.

“Instead of apologizing, Robin kept insulting the neighbor,” the source continued. “Eventually, the police were called in. They did find her smoking weed, but the real reason for her arrest was the assault and continuous harassment, not the drugs.”

Adding fuel to the fire, the source claims Kisti and her boyfriend also stole the neighbor’s business idea to launch their own cooking oil brand — a betrayal that only deepened the conflict.

Police had initially intended to arrest Kisti solely for the assault charges, but the situation escalated when marijuana was found during the arrest process. However, the insider emphasized that drugs were not the main reason for her detention.
