Lukwago disclosed that he had been fighting for his life at the Fortis Memorial Hospital in India during the surgery.
Despite the challenges, he emerged from the procedure unscathed, a testament to his resilience and the expertise of the medical team.
Glory be to the Gracious Lord whose mighty Will made it possible for me to wake up from the operation theatre and the Intensive Care Unit of Fortis Memorial Hospital, Grugram, India where I spent several hours battling for life.

His journey to India for treatment began after being referred by a doctor and consultant orthopedic at Mulago Hospital.
A medical report dated April 13th from the doctor highlighted the urgent need for spine surgery due to Lukwago’s diagnosis of C6-7 cervical discopathy, also known as C7 nerve root herniation.
Symptoms of this condition include pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and middle finger, which Lukwago had been experiencing.
Despite previous treatments such as painkillers, he found little relief, prompting the decision to pursue surgery for a more effective solution.
