Equity Bank Uganda, in collaboration with KPMG and Nation Media Group (NMG), is set to officially launch the 2025 Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies Survey on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
Now a flagship initiative in Uganda’s private sector, this year’s survey will be held under the theme: “Driving Inclusive Business Growth – Empowering SMEs across All Sectors for Economic Transformation.” The campaign aims to spotlight and celebrate Uganda’s top-performing mid-sized enterprises that are making significant contributions to the country’s economic development.

As a strong advocate for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Equity Bank Uganda continues to provide both financial and non-financial solutions designed to help businesses scale, remain competitive, and achieve long-term sustainability. Through this strategic partnership with KPMG and NMG, the bank underscores its commitment to creating opportunities for SMEs to thrive across all regions of the country.
The survey specifically targets businesses with annual revenues ranging between UGX 360 million and UGX 25 billion, assessing them on critical performance metrics including revenue growth, profitability, liquidity, and return on investment.
Over the next three months, the campaign will be rolled out across Uganda with regional forums dedicated to sectors such as Finance, Tourism, and Technology.
These will offer networking opportunities and knowledge-sharing platforms for SME leaders, industry experts, and stakeholders. The survey will culminate in a prestigious awards gala later in the year, where the top 100 companies will be officially recognized and celebrated.
The launch event is expected to draw participation from a wide cross-section of stakeholders including government officials, private sector leaders, development partners, and media representatives.
Through initiatives like this, Equity Bank Uganda and its partners are reaffirming their belief in the transformative power of SMEs in shaping Uganda’s economic future.
