The Uganda Cranes skipper Emmanuel Okwi, who plays for a team in Tunisia is currently in the country for a holiday following a break in their league, back in Tunisia.
Okwi was spotted at Laftaz comedy lounge with an unidentified friend that he sat with at the back of the audience. He arrived at the venue quite early before most of the people did, donning a simple V-shaped green T-shirt, a pair of jeans and a simple shoe.
The show ended at around 11pm but to his utter surprise, nobody seemed to recognize the dude despite paparazzi being everywhere in that area code and this begs the question: Are our national team players really idols to some people if they can go to such public places and leave unnoticed?
He was overheard whispering to a friend telling him how unpopular he seems. “Can you imagine that nobody seems to recognize me here”, Okwi wondered.
Meanwhile, the skipper is trying to keep his form and himself fit ahead of the Egypt friendly match and the world cup qualifier against Senegal and to achieve this, he is set to join URA as he has at times been spotted training with them.
