Eddy Kenzo has taken a subliminal jibe at Uganda’s long-established singers who include Bebe Cool and Chameleone saying they have stagnated and he has since surpassed them. He added that it’s time for the new generation of young musicians to carry the mantle of taking the local music industry to the next level.
He posted: “I’m so happy now days abantu bafe bagezi a nyo as in babuufu. N’ebwoyogera otya kati bakugamba statistics zigamba oli stuck in one place not even 1m viewers since 91 muyina okugata obumyu okufuna ente. New generation bintu mu action no talking Uganda forward.”
Kenzo’s remarks come on the back of his recent BET success. Kenzo wrote new history when he became the first musician in the East African region to bring home the coveted BET award.
