West African side, Togo that is in the same group with the Uganda Cranes wants the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to move their Africa Cup of Nations tie from Guinea to another venue. Following the outbreak of Ebola in West African countries and due to the fear of the killer Ebola virus, the Togolese football federation has asked CAF to make a change on where their team will be playing Guinea. It is estimated that Ebola has killed over 300 people in Guinea.
Uganda is in the group (Group E) with Ghana, Togo and Guinea and all these face the same threat of the killer virus ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifiers that are set to kick-off in early September. Togo has their group opener away to Guinea during the 5-6th September weekend in which the Uganda Cranes will also be away to Ghana in the first round of the group qualifiers.
Uganda Cranes who face a similar threat as Togo will host Guinea at Namboole in their second game of the group qualifiers on 10th September on match day 2. Uganda Cranes will end their qualification campaign of Group E against Guinea on match day 6 on the 19th of November, during which Guinea are meant to be the hosts.
According to information coming in on our desk from inside sources, the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has had the same thought over the Crane’s fixture against Guinea however it has not filed any formal request or complaint to have the away match shifted in terms of venue.

M-Day 2: 10th Sept: Uganda vs Guinea
M-Day 3: 10-11th Oct: Uganda vs Togo
M-Day 4: 15th Oct: Togo vs Uganda
M-Day 5: 14-15th Nov: Uganda vs Ghana
M-Day 6: 19th Nov: Guinea vs Uganda
