Singer Dr.Hilderman has issued a statement about the attire he wore on his launch earlier this year. The singer has expressed that despite the apologies he has been publicly airing on both TV and radio the catholic community has not found it in their hearts to forgive him yet.
In a statement he wrote: “I drove from Masaka for four days daily to have an appointment with His grace the Bishop. Because of the Uganda Martyrs day celebrations the appointments failed. We saw it wise to write to the lawyers and asked them to allow our musical tour end and then meet the Bishop, a letter my president Benon Kibuuka copied to even the Arch Bishops office.
Initially this body of lawyers who are more catholic never thought about talking to a fellow catholic in private but have written letters to media not minding even to copy me, the catholic in wrong. I have officially come out on radio and TV and apologized for those I affected and expressed my intentions which were not to degrade or disrespect my church. With the letter from my president, I expected Jude Mbabaali team to respect my president’s reply but not again calling for media. Seeing the bishop is by appointment and I will apologize to the right people not human beings with personal issues with me. The world must be asking why DR HIlderman and I will answer them mister. Am not big headed but the politicians are using it to capture attention anti 2016. Gakulemye kola biriyo”
