Ever thought about crazy stage names, you have not been to West Nile! While the majority of Ugandan artists are named after animals particularly reptiles, West Nile artists have names ranging from vegetables to building materials. Here is just a few of the ones we have compiled.
1. Slaughter Man Di Panga
Alright. We have no idea whether he is a real slaughter man. For those who listened to his music, the beat always mashes him to shreds.
2. Dog Man
I wanted to reserve my comments but hey, what is admirable about half dog, half man being? For the record, he barks a lot in his music.
3. Big Stone
No idea why one would name himself big stone. Perhaps dominance of self!
4. Red Python
One of the most prominent particularly with one of the names that would pass for a Chinese movie.
5. Rasta Cassava
Cassava is one of the staple foods here. What more inspiration would full time cassava farmer need for his pass time music career?
6. Queen Gadget
You have probably heard that she is the singer who raped a male artist.
7. Fat Kiss
We have heard of French kisses and South Sudanese kisses but the thought of a “fat kiss” is not really romantic.
8. Young Lemon
We would not be surprised if his music is just as bitter!
