Ugandan singer Diamond Oscar has boldly stated that his generation produced the best music East Africa has ever seen.

While speaking during a recent Baboon Forest podcast, the veteran artist said, “Our era had and still has the best music in East Africa.”

Diamond Oscar also expressed his views on the current music industry, claiming the new generation lacks the energy and drive that his era had.

“The current generation has got no momentum like we got,” he said.

Oscar is fondly remembered for his major impact on the Ugandan music scene between 2010 and 2015.

He rose to fame with several popular hits, including Nkyali Bubi featuring GNL Zamba, Take It Easy with Vampino, and Superstar.
